Winter Wedding at the Anvil Centre in New Westminster

Reid and Leah had such a beautiful wedding at the Anvil Centre in downtown New Westminster. We hadn’t shot a wedding at this venue before, but it was actually really fun because the ceremony takes place in a theater. The theater seating at Anvil Centre is ideal because every guest can see, and no one is obstructed.

There were so many great things about this wedding:
We adored the kombucha bar at this wedding! Since the groom Reid doesn’t drink alcohol it was a great alternative to a traditional bar. Hoochy Booch provided locally made craft Kombucha for the event.

I also love that because these two are parents they really made an effort to ensure guests with children were included and could have a good time – they provided childcare for their guests. As a mom, I just adore this! They actually even offered to have our daughter at the wedding to join the other kids and offered to provide childcare for us – this is so incredibly thoughtful. Never has another couple ever offered to do that for us, but dang, it means a lot!

We know how much the girls mean to Leah and Reid so we dropped all of our ideas about what weddings ‘should’ look like, and really strove to tell both the story of parenthood, and a wedding from the perspective of a child, as we photographed their wedding day.
