What to do With all Those Digital Files From Your Wedding

There is no bigger shame than hiring a phenomenal wedding photographer only to let the images collect dust on a CD or USB stick. It is very easy for a corruption to occur on a USB stick, or for a CD to get scratched. Never, ever have a solo copy of your wedding photos. As soon as you receive your images be sure to create a duplicate backup of your files.

Of course, if you really want to protect your wedding photographs, the safest way to archive your images is to print them and put them into one of our Vancouver wedding album.

Couples are more likely to take care of a designer flush mounted album than a USB stick. A USB stick is easily tossed into a drawer and lost; an album is hard to misplace. It is unlikely you’ll scratch an album (and if you did you wouldn’t lose every photo.) You also don’t have to worry about image corruption.

Another benefit of printing your images, is that you know they can be easily enjoyed for years to come. When we first started photographing weddings we delivered all of the images on CDs. Nowadays, many of our clients use tablets or netbooks that don’t have CD drives. If we gave them a CD they’d have to wait to even access their files – USBs will eventually become obsolete, too.

You will never have to worry that opening a book will become obsolete. They will always be easy to access, do not require any sort of technological understanding, and can be enjoyed by family members of all ages for many years to come.
