Wedding Album Sets
Designing wedding albums is a ton of fun, but designing wedding album sets is just a total riot. Occasionally I will have clients who order duplicate albums for parent albums, but more often than not, when I design parent albums I end up designing three completely different albuns. Usually one for the bride & groom, one for the bride’s family, and one for the groom’s family. The images in the parents albums will usually contain more images from that side of the family, so it is of utmost importance to ensure that our coverage of the day is pretty even all around, which can be a challenge when you don’t know what person is on what side of the family!
We realize that the people invited to the wedding are important people. They are important people to the couple we are working with on any given Saturday. When we shoot a wedding we do our best to acknowledge, and interact with as many guests as we can throughout the night, even if its just a nod, or a smile. When it comes time to dance you’ll usually find us on the packed dance floor grooving with cameras in hand along side the guests. It isn’t just that we love dancing, it’s so that we don’t just pictures of people dancing, but images that really give you a sense of what it felt like to be out there dancing with them. Some of our best images for parent albums come from the dancefloor, whether it’s mom having a dance with her sister or your dad taking a shot with your uncle, some incredible family interactions and bonding moments happen when the bride and groom are not in the frame and the perfect place to save those moments can be in your parent’s album.
