Vancouver Wedding Photographer | 2014 Second Shooting Review
Whenever I get a chance to second shoot for another photographer I try to take the opportunity. Working with other photographers over the years has been so beneficial to my work. Because I work alone (or at least with Brad) 90% of the time I can sometimes lose the ability to look at my work objectively. I love seeing how other photographers work, how they shoot and how they interact with their clients. Sometimes I walk away feeling super inspired when I shoot with someone else. One of the other benefits of shooting with other photographers is that I can shoot without any pressure. When I shoot my own weddings there is always a heavier level of expectation. Sometimes I end up getting the safe clean shot because I dont have time to really mess about and play with my images or spend time creating something unique & unusual. When I am second shooting for another photographer I often get a bit more creative freedom. During family portraits I can experiment at the cocktail hour, or if I know the other photographer is nailing their shot I can step aside and create something different.
Thank you Vancouver Wedding Photographers John Bello & Jarusha Brown for the opportunity to work with you both last year I had a blast shooting with you guys!
