Sasamat Outdoor Centre Wedding Celebration in Anmore, BC

I can honestly say before this wedding I had never packed my bikini to a wedding before, but when Scott & Jess told me about their wedding plans at Sasamat Outdoor Centre in Anmore B.C., I knew there wasn’t another option.

Originally we were supposed to start shooting later in the day, but when the couple divulged that the part of the wedding they were most looking forward to was floating around with their friends in the morning we knew that it was going to be a super important part of the day to document for this couple, so we packed up the GoPro & underwater casing with our regular camera equipment and jumped into the water to photograph the party.

This wedding at Sasamat lake was EVERYTHING. It took place in a beautiful location, was heartfelt and was really, really fucking fun. How can you go wrong with vows that include a reading from Black feminist writer bell hooks, lakeside floaties, a live funk band and a pirate themed photobooth?
