Private Commission | Custom Framed Landscape
2013 was a year of a lot of firsts for us. We tried a lot of new things, started some personal projects and dabbled in other genres of photography. I received my first commission for a landscape this year, which was pretty cool. I shot some scenery down in Point Roberts and sold a custom framed piece to a good friend of ours as a wedding gift to her wife.
This was printed as a custom sized 20×26 Fine Art Giclée print. It was printed on eco-friendly cotton rag, and it’s edges were torn by hand to give it a bit of a rustic finish. To complete the piece it was custom framed in a 22×28 float frame made from reclaimed barnwood. So not only is this piece gorgeous to look at, it’s actually easy on the environment proving that we don’t have to harm the earth in order to be surrounded with beautiful things.
