Elegant Private Aldergrove Wedding with John Bello
I’m always really excited to work with other photographers, and this year I’ve had the wonderful opportunity to work with a lot of different photographers who’s work I just love which is always an honour. I always feel like there is something to be learned from other photographers which helps me improve my own photography.
I was stoked to help the fabulous John Bello out for this elegant backyard Aldergrove wedding. Watching John work really taught me to shut the heck up and perceive more. I think each photographer has their strengths and weaknesses. I know for me personally, one of my strengths is keeping the mood upbeat, and drawing a lot of enthusiasm from my clients. I get a lot of natural laughs and smiles this way, and I love the energy in my images. You’ll see my work tends to have a lot of colour and energy in it, and that has Kendra written all over it. I talk a million miles a minute, I think even faster than I talk. That being said I have always loved how John’s images are much more quiet and moody, yet strong and emotional, and I find that is a lot harder for me to draw out of people. Watching John work I realized it’s also good to step back and let those quiet moments happen on their own, and just be there for the couple to capture them without influencing the scene. I think learning to balance that is a good challenge for myself and will ultimately make me a stronger photographer.
