On September 17th Michelle Dixon asked me to tag along & help her to shoot her clients’, Michelle & Lindsay’s wedding. Since my own wedding season wrapped up the week prior and I didn’t have anything else on my plate I jumped at the opportunity. I love shooting weddings, I love the emotion, and I love that no two weddings are ever the same.
This particular wedding took place at The Cloverdale Baptist Church in Surrey where I shot mostly from the balcony while Michelle covered the floor. Then we headed off to Derby Reach for group portraits. Derby Reach is a stunning location to shoot portraits at with scenic river views and a rustic barn on site, what more can a photographer ask for? We were lucky that despite some seriously ominous skies the rain held off and we got some fantastic outdoor shots. After portraits we headed back to The Fort Langley Golf Course for the reception (which had been decorated beautifully thanks to Lisa over at Lisa Gregory Special Events), where the couple enjoyed toasts, cake, dancing & a crazy amount of love from their friends & family.
The day was picture perfect to say the least! Thank you Michelle & Lindsay for allowing me to document such a fabulous day in your lives, and thanks to Michelle Dixon too – it’s always a pleasure shooting with you! :)
