Well I’m no longer a journalist (at least not the writing kind) but I still stay in touch with some of my classmates. Back when I was studying journalism at Langara I made friends with some journalism students, Jared & Airika, the later of which happens to be very, very pregnant at the moment. In fact as of today she’s two days overdue (which I can assure you she is less than thrilled about, since she is very anxious to meet her daughter). Anyways they found out they were pregnant during my final trimester with Tia, so our children will only be about 6 months apart, which is pretty cool! I can’t wait to meet their baby (who will hopefully arrive in the next few days).
Before I share some pictures from this Vancouver maternity session however I wanted to share Airika’s blog “Baby For Keeps“, as it has been a continuous source of entertainment for me since she’s such a funny and engaging writer. I highly recommend checking it out – especially if you happen to be pregnant because you’ll read it and go “YUP! I know EXACTLY how that is!!” and it will definitely leave a smile on your face!
I shot these bad boys at our home studio which I haven’t really used too much since Tia was born, but it gave me a reason to put away the jolly jumper and tidy things up! Since Airika is so “wordy” I thought it would only be appropriate to infuse some words into her maternity session. Check it out below:
