Langley Lifestyle Family Portrait Photographer

It’s not very often that I shoot family portraits but I recently had the pleasure of shooting some for a friend of mine and his two boys. We headed out to a U-Pick Blueberry farm called Driedgier Farms in Langley, where Ryan and his boys could just interact with each other naturally.

I’ve really never been a stand there and smile kind of portrait photographer, which was a lot of the reason I had stopped doing family portraits, though I love shooting this session so much I’d really like to shoot more lifestyle family portrait sessions, I think. I like the journalistic aspect to it, I like that when you look back on the images 20 years from now they will remind you of how your kids really were, and not how they looked dressed up in a bowtie in a studio with a light in their face. (Not to mention its a whole lot less stressful for parents and photographers alike, when you aren’t trying to force a three year old to smile!)
