Richmond Engagement Session | Cambie High School | Huong + RC

So Huong & R.C.’s Richmond engagement session was a little too fabulous to blog in just one measly post! So we had to break it into two! The first half of their incredible session was shot at H.J. Cambie, the high school where they had originally met. Although they hadn’t been close in high school they met again years later and hit it off, so it only made sense to shoot in the place where their love story started!

I have to admit I felt a bit of trepidation going into this shoot as I hadn’t ever shot portraits in a high school before and I was dreading battling fluorescent and halogen lights, but once I got out to the school to scout all of that trepidation was replaced with excitement. I had so many ideas in my head I thought my brain was going to explode! We kicked things off in the library stacks, then hit the gym and wrapped things up in the C-wing of the school. We were stoked to have local fashion photographer Mark Jarder come out and assist us with lighting (never hurts to have great people on your side!) and as usual Gem Spierings of Gem’s Hair & Makeup provided Huong with her gorgeous look.
