White Rock Maternity Photographer | Karlene + Dillon

One of the best parts of being a wedding photographer is that because you are such an integral part of such a big day in people’s lives you get to make lots of new friends! We always like to get updates on how our past clients are doing and what is new in their lives, which is why we were so thrilled when Dillon & Karlene sent us an email this summer to let us know they were expecting their second child this winter!

We first met Dillon & Karlene back in the fall of 2010 to plan their engagement session, which we shot up at Grouse Mountain in the snow. Their wedding was over at the Chateau Cargill in White Rock back in February. We were lucky enough to be able to document their wedding for them & rent them our photo booth – we had so much fun with them that day! I was so very pregnant with Tia when I shot their wedding and I really enjoyed swapping pregnancy stories with Karlene who had “been there, done that” with her beautiful little boy Kingston two years prior.

Anyways we were just so excited to hear that they were expecting again (and this time, the daughter they both wanted so badly!) that i could hardly wait to shoot their maternity session! We shot in their home, and mostly in their bedroom, since it has been a place they have spent a lot of family time together since their son Kingston was born. Kingston even helped me to snap a couple of goofy pictures of him mom & dad. (see below) Then we headed to the kitchen to bake a batch of yummy chocolate chip cookies!

I wish nothing but the best to the Davies family, and can’t wait to meet their perfect little angel when she arrives in December!
