Snowy Mountain Engagement Session | Louis + Ellie

At the end of December we headed up to Grouse Mountain for a snowy mountain engagement session with Louis & Ellie. Since Louis is originally from Quebec the couple really wanted to capture a wintry backdrop in their session. It was also quite fitting, since they first met around Christmas time. I had actually been hoping for a sunny day up on the slopes, but of course we arrived and it was quite foggy. Since these guys are new to Vancouver I thought it would be amazing to show them the view of the city – but with all the fog, of course we couldn’t see any of it. That being said the fog did lend to an interesting backdrop, where the background virtually disappeared into nothing. Part way though the fog and light snow cleared and we had a good window to shoot some clear images as the twilight began to set on the mountain.

Check out our shoot! Shout outs to Gemma Spierings for makeup and Grouse Mountain for letting us come up and shoot.
