Rustic Wedding at Minnekhada | Port Coquitlam Wedding Photographer

The following are some images I shot while assisting Michelle Dixon at a cute little rustic wedding out at Minnekhada Lodge. Minnekhada is only about 5 minutes from my house and it’s hands down one of my favourite venues for smaller weddings. When Michelle asked me to shoot alongside her I was stoked because I love this location and would have had my own wedding there had we not had so many guests!

I loved all of the little rustic and shabby chic details at this wedding. With sunshine yellows and olive greens it fit perfectly into this little lodge which is nestled away in the forest. My favourite detail was their wedding favours which were pinetree saplings wrapped in burlap. Just adorable, and so fitting for a forest wedding! They also had a guitarist play them down the aisle and had live music during their reception, which I think just makes a wedding! It’s so much nicer than just hitting play on an iPod (though having a DJ who can actually spin can REALLY get a party started too!)
