Intimate Vancouver Engagement Session | Andrew + Katie

We got together with Katie & Andrew a few weeks back to shoot an engagement session for them. This year we’ve been blessed to be able to shoot engagements and weddings for a few friends, which is always a treat! We sat down with our good friends Andrew and Katie to plan out their session together like we do with all of out clients, and we talked about their relationship a lot to come up with ideas for their session.

Andrew hails from the UK, and since his family is coming over for the wedding in next summer both of them felt it was important for their images to show off what a fabulous city Vancouver is.  It only made sense to kick off our session at Stanley Park. The whole park was glowing with orange and red leaves, so it wasn’t hard to make the images look incredible! We started our session at The Hollow Tree – an essential Vancouver landmark, before heading over to Vanier Park for a truly “Vancouver view” There are not many places in the world you see the ocean next to a forest, next to a city, surrounded by vast blue mountains, so it only made sense to showcase such a magnificent view with their images. Unfortunately it was actually a little foggy out (and very cloudy) so the mountains were pretty hard to make out the day we shot, but the neutral tones of the sky really helped them pop out in the images.
