Thompson Okanagan Landscapes

Most years I spend the better half of my summer at weddings, and then indoors editing, but every once in awhile I do get out. Brad’s family has a cabin up in the Shuswap, each year we head up towards the Thomspon Okanagan region, to do a little sightseeing. Something about hitting the road just makes my heart skip a beat. When I was about 15 or so I used to tell my parents I was going over to stay at my good friend Jon’s (who my parents just adored) and we would just hit the road and drive for hours. Once we drove all the way up to Golden, BC, just to get some ice cream, then turned around and drove 7 hours back through the mountains which were smokey due to forest fires. I’ve always loved joyriding, or road trips in general, and I’d really love to shoot more weddings on the road around BC, just for the joy of travel.

One place I’ve always want to shoot at is called God’s Mountain Estate up in the interior. Venues like that make my heart leap for joy. :)

Here’s a little peek at a road trip from last summer.
