Engagement Session at Cates Park in North Vancouver

We had so much fun photographing this engagement session at Whey-Ah-Whichen or Cates Park in North Vancouver. Whey-Ah-Whichen means ‘faces the wind’, and is the ancestral name of this territory. It was an early morning session, so we were up at sunrise for it hoping to catch a sunny day. Unfortunately clouds blew in overnight and we didn’t get any sunshine but that didn’t keep us from laughing out butts off with these two in the morning drizzle. Syd & Ben danced and told us the hilarious story of how they began dating as we shot their portraits. My favourite is how Syd crinkles her nose like a little bunny when Ben makes her giggle. These two are a match made in heaven!
